  • Education expert to speak at Garden Party fundraiser

    Education expert and cameo star in the Sundance Film Festival’s best documentary of 2010 “Waiting for Superman,” Lance Izumi, will be guest speaker at Garden Pathway’s Garden Party fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 18. Proceeds will expand the classroom facilities of Garden Pathways and increase mentoring and education services.

    Former American Idol contestant Amy Adams is partnering with Garden Pathways to offer two sessions of “Singing Camp” this summer. Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. July 6 for youth ages 9 to 18. The camp is part of an initiative to mentor youth through the arts.
