    The First Friday celebration on September 2, will honor the late KayLa Conway, by dedicating a kiosk at 19th and Eye streets. Ms. Conway owned the Curiosity Shop on 19th street. She was a contributor to downtown culture.

Its final show, inspired by bicycles, is a nod to Bike Month and Bakersfield’s growing cycling culture. The show opens Friday, May 7, along with a host of other downtown gallery activities planned for First Friday.
