Surface Gallery’s final show opens for First Friday
After bringing young, professional, urban art to downtown Bakersfield’s gallery scene since 2008, Surface Gallery has announced it will close at the end of May. Its final show, inspired by bicycles, is a nod to Bike Month and Bakersfield’s growing cycling culture. The show opens Friday, May 7, along with a host of other downtown gallery activities planned for First Friday.

Two new art galleries open in time for First Friday
