The Walk for the Arts on Saturday, May 15, is a 5K ramble around Bakersfield’s Downtown Arts District. Organized by the Arts Council of Kern, it is a fundraiser for organizations to raise money for their arts programs. Philosophy professor and director of the Kegley Institute of Ethics at CSUB, Christopher Meyers has published a new book by leading scholars. “Journalism Ethics, a Philosopher’s Approach” tackles ethics as traditional media meets new media online through blogs, celebrity news, and just plain “crud.”
