A Bako native, although technically didn't arrive in Bako till Day Two. A product of the Bakersfield City School District. BHS grad, class of '75. Go Drillers. Left to go to college, came back 20 years later. Mom to Amelia, a sophmore at BHS. Currently, Director of Special Projects, Arts Council of Kern. Also the accordion player in Banshee in the Kitchen. Loves/hates this valley. Feels passionate about leaving it in better shape than it was in when she arrived (her mom taught her that, but it was in reference to the living room).
